Every great idea deserves to be stretched to absurd lengths. Literally.
Somewhere on the internet there is a horse with no finish line, and scrolling it is one of the purest joys ever put in a browser. We built this version because the world needed a golden one — the same gloriously pointless concept, dressed up like it matters.
There is no score that matters, no prize, no ending. There is only you, a shimmering horse, and the quiet question of how far you'll go before you ask yourself why.
This site is a tribute inspired by the 2015 original endless.horse, created by Colleen Josephson and Kyle Miller for the Stupid Shit No One Needs & Terrible Ideas Hackathon. They had the beautifully terrible idea first; we just gilded it.
All text, artwork, and code on this site are our own original creations — we did not copy the original's content, only its spirit of magnificent pointlessness.
Honestly? No reason. That's the whole thing. But somewhere around 1,000 horse lengths, "no reason" starts feeling like the best reason you've had all day. We'll see you down there.
